WE ARE HAVING.....

Hi! I feel like a terrible blogger! It's been almost exactly THREE weeks since I've updated!!! I am exactly 22 weeks today and feeling GREAT! I really don't know where to start! I'm sort of overwhelmed! I guess I'll share these two pics from when my Grandma was in town for my Mom's wedding...this is the night before my Mom left for her honeymoon! We all ate at the Folly Beach Crab Shack, it was yummy! I was 17 weeks and 5 days here....

That night when I got home, I was sitting watching TV waiting for Ryan to get out of the shower. All of a sudden, the baby REALLY kicked/hit me for the first time!! I had been feeling little pops and other feelings but nothing like that yet! It was AMAZING! I just laughed out loud because it really surprised me! I guess the baby likes CRAB LEGS as much as Mommy does!! :)

That week we moved out of our townhouse and into our in-laws to stay for a couple months until our HOUSE is done being built! Ryan's parents just completely renovated a house and it's gorgeous! They are kind to let us stay at their old house while ours is finished! But moving is NOT fun!!! That Saturday, my sister and I participated in the March of Dimes Walk America, we do it every year. During the prayer before the walk, I was praying hard that our sweet baby is born healthy and happy! Luckily the weather held up and didn't rain until about 5 minutes after we finished :) I love walking through downtown Charleston, it's so beautiful! That Saturday was my last Saturday night off for a WHILE! So I decided to go see a movie with two of my best girl friends, Rachael and Lindsay. We saw Alice in Wonderland, the baby's first in-theatre movie I believe! It was pretty good!

So from my last update, I turned 19 weeks on April the 27th. We had our BIG ultrasound on the 29th at 2:30pm. What an amazing time! My mom, sister, niece, and mother-in-law were able to join Ryan and me for the ultrasound! I was so happy they could all be there to share in our excitement! SOOOO.... the big announcement!!!! Here's how I told family & friends.....(along with an ultrasound pic)

We were just too excited! Ryan and I both just had real strong gut feelings that we were having a girl, but both of our mom's kept saying boy! They are both so happy though! :) Afterwards, Ryan and I grabbed a bite to eat at Chick-fil-A, our favorite fast food. I had been TOO nervous to eat much for breakfast and lunch was out of the question before the ultrasound! haha! Then my best bud Bridget and I headed to go do some GIRL shopping!! I ended up buying two cute little shirts that I just couldn't pass up! And one for me too, I'll show them later! Then I met up with my sister again, she had a surprise! She took me to see Kenny Chesney 3D!!!!! Sadly, he is taking his first summer off in 17 years (yes, I know, he deserves it!) and that was always our tradition to see him together every summer. It was funny, we were the only two in the WHOLE theater but we had fun singing and dancing and actin like fools! :) I love my big sis!!!

That Friday night started my NEW job working the WOW shift. (Work only Weekends)....yes, it sounds crazy. But, it's actually the best choice for us at this time. MORE money (the shift differential is amazing), I won't have to put the baby in daycare, and no fighting traffic!! Plus, Ryan and I will be able to have more of a routine in the evenings and get to spend more time together with the baby. I'll be working one night during the week and then every Saturday and Sunday night from 7p-7a. So far it's working out great!

I'm going to do a post on our house soon. I've been enjoying having lots of days off during the week, I still get to spend time with my girlfriends! I meet them for dinner or a new tradition we've started is every Monday evening, Bridget and I watch Army Wives since I work Sunday night and miss it! She's awesome to not watch it too and record it so we can watch together :)

Mother's Day weekend was nice despite me having to work! Ryan and I celebrated a little early going to dinner the Friday night before since I was off. We ate at Zen, because sushi is always one of my cravings right now! Of course, I had a california roll since nothing is raw in it! Then Sunday morning, as I was leaving work, I saw something on my driver's side window. It was a Mother's Day card from my sweet hubs! It made me cry, so sweet!!!!! When I got home, he had breakfast waiting and rubbed my feet till I fell asleep. I sure got spoiled that morning!!!!!! Can you tell I love being pregnant? :) I slept for a few hours then my sister and her husband and daughter came over for a little while. Chelsea gave me a mother's day card and sweet Rachel gave our baby girl a present too! A purple horse stuffed animal, her first! It has wings, it's a Pegasus :) I just love it, it's so different, and I love that Rachel picked it out just for her baby cousin!!

 My Mother's Day GOODIES :) I loved my sweet cards from Tracy (one of my favorite nurse's that I work with!!!), Bridget, Ryan, and Chelsea and Rachel :) Bridget even surprised me at work on Sunday night with her card and some burp cloths for the baby! What an awesome best friend. Of course, I also loved all the text messages sent by friends wishing me a Happy Mother's Day. I can't wait till next year when she'll be here in my arms!

Here we are on Mother's Day 2010. 20 weeks, 5 days pregnant!

We have decided to name our sweet girl AUBREY REESE! Ryan and I were having a hard time deciding on a name we could both agree on. I had always wanted to name a daughter REESE but Ryan said he only liked it as a middle name. So we both found out we liked the name Aubrey while looking at a baby name book my friend Tracy bought me. It just sounds right together, and we LOVE it! I love having a name that when I pray for her, I can pray for her by NAME. I just know she is going to be such a fun, happy little girl! She also will be sporting her Daddy's initials! How cool is that?!

Lots of goodies, your Aunt Ci Ci (my sister Chelsea) has gone MAD buying TURTLE stuff! It's always been my thing! My favorite thing is the BooBoo Bunny...did anyone else grow up with those?! We did, and I was so excited she got one for Aubrey! Lots of bath toys too! Even her first pack of baby diapers! :)

Aunt Cici has already bought Aubrey her first TWO bathing suits! Get ready girl, we're going to be hitting the pool when you get here!! :)

This is getting WAY too long, but I am so excited the news is out about Miss Aubrey Reese!! We already love her SO much and are getting more excited to meet her every day! I am 22 weeks today and feeling great! I will do an update later, we're going to go look at our NEW house in process!!!!
